Rocca di Montegrossi Geremia 2013
Located in the Commune of Galole, in the heart of Chianti, Rocca di Montegrossi was established in the 7th Century AD, by the family's ancestor Geremia. Surviving the reign of Frederick the Great, the battles of the Florentines and the razing by Charles V's troops, the family of Rocca di Montegrossi has shown great fortitude over the years, including the strength of conviction of its present holder, Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi.
The 2010 Geremia, Rocca di Montegrossi's Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon blend, is utterly magnificent. Lavender, plums, cloves and violets literally jump from the glass. The flavors are bright, focused and vibrant to the core, all with a stunning sense of energy and pure class. The 2010 looks to have a very bright future. What a gorgeous wine this is. Geremia is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. 95+ Pts. Vinous Media

Wine AdvocateSuper black and inky in appearance, this is a bend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak for 28 months. The 2013 Geremia shows an impenetrable appearance that is infused with dark plum, spice, campfire ash, sweet tobacco and grilled rosemary. The weighty finish is robust and long. Only 9,000 bottles were produced.
