Chateau Maison Blanche Medoc 2011

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The wine is 75% aged in French oak barrels. Over a 12-month period, the colour becomes stable, the aromas more complex, and the structure more elegant. The bouquet is understated and delicate. Red fruit flavours dominate the very refined and well-integrated oak influence reflected by hints of vanilla pods, mocha, and toasty nuances. The tannin is tightly-knit and the texture is smooth but with character. The aftertaste is delicious and impressively long.

Wine AdvocateOne of the more successful Cru Bourgeois of the Medoc, this 2011 possesses a dark ruby color, attractive notes of berry fruit, earth and spice, good balance, ripe tannin and no herbaceousness. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.

Wine SpectatorOffers a smoky feel, with ample charcoal notes, layered with fleshy plum and steeped black currant fruit. The finish gives way to a cedary component in the end. Drink now through 2015. 7,800 cases made.

Wine EnthusiastThis is dark and firm with a tough, austere character. It has weight, but the bitterness of too-much extraction gives a hard edge. The juiciness at the end doesn't compensate.
