Marziano Abbona Barolo Terlo Ravera 2010
Wine SpectatorLeather, musk, cherry and licorice notes ply the succulent profile in this supple red. Tar and menthol elements emerge as this cruises to a long finish. Complex and will reward cellaring. Best from 2019 through 2035. 200 cases imported.
VinousMarziano Abbona's Barolo Terlo Ravera has a little more nervous tension and minerality than the Pressenda, denoting its origins in the Ravera cru of Novello. Violets, lavender, dark cherries, plums and spices all burst from the glass in a racy, exceptionally polished Barolo. Hints of asphalt, graphite and smoke add complexity on the finish. I very much like the sense of energy here.
