Patrick Baudouin Savennieres 2010
Wine AdvocateThe straw yellow 2010 Savennières from 35-year-old vines has a lovely sweet honey/popcorn nose with herbal, nutty, and mineral nuances. On the palate this is a clear, fresh if not piquant, full-bodied and very mineral Chenin, with an almost drying salty finish and very good aromatic length. Although Savennières is not the home of the domaine, I consider the 2010 as the finest and most elegant dry wine I have tasted of this domaine for this report. With "only" 13% alcohol it is also one of the lighter Savennières.
